Meet Luna Lou 🐾 Thanks for sending her in, Katie!
Happy Thursday, Toasters. 700+ of you read this every week now, and Riley and I can’t thank you enough. Thursday kicks off with Beats & Eats at Town Center and movie night at Good Times Dog Bar. Friday brings Food Truck Friday on the farm and Witches Night Out, and Saturday morning it’s the Cardboard Regatta and Pumpkin Fest in Flagler Beach. This week’s pup is Luna Lou, from reader Katie James. It’s also Biketoberfest weekend, so expect more bikes and heavier traffic on A1A. Quick weather heads-up: a cold front could bring storms Friday afternoon, then a breezier, cooler weekend with rough surf at the beach, so check before you head out, especially for the regatta.
📅 The Weekend |
🐶 Treat your dog at the Salty Paws Doggie Ice Cream Social in Palm Coast — Seminole Woods Park (Palm Coast) — Thursday @ 3–7 p.m.
Salty Paws Palm Coast FL is a mobile doggie ice cream and treats truck, with premium lactose-free scoops plus chews and training treats, and this is their first soft-launch date. They’ll be set up right up front in the parking lot, so you can’t miss them, and the park’s small trail makes a nice dog walk before or after. Follow @saltypawspalmcoastfl.
🎵 Catch Stealing Vanity at Beats & Eats in Palm Coast — The Stage at Town Center (Palm Coast) — Thursday @ 6–8 p.m.
Free. Food trucks, vendors, yard games, and beer and wine, all benefiting Parkinson’s of Flagler Palm Coast. Bring a chair. There’s just one more Beats & Eats after this one (Oct 22), so don’t sleep on it.
🎬 Movie night at Good Times Dog Bar — Good Times Dog Bar (Palm Coast) — Thursday @ 5 p.m.
Pet Cemetery on the big screen at dusk. Come early for Bath & a Beer, $15 from 5 to 7. Dogs need to register at goodtimesdogbar.com before they come.
🚚 Eat your way through Food Truck Friday on the Farm — Florida Agricultural Museum, 7900 Old Kings Rd. N. (Palm Coast) — Friday @ 5–9 p.m.
Free admission and parking. Local food trucks, an artisan market, a kids zone, and a beer and wine tent, with live music. It’s pet-friendly, bikers are welcome, and it’s a nice way to skip the Daytona crowds on Biketoberfest weekend.
🛒 Wander the Saturday market at Flagler Beach for Pumpkin Fest — In front of City Hall, S. 2nd St. (Flagler Beach) — Saturday @ 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
Free, with 30+ merchants, plus free pumpkins and face painting for Pumpkin Fest. Start here, then walk a block to the beach for the regatta.
📦 Cheer on the Ocean Cardboard Regatta at Flagler Beach — Beach across from Veterans Park (Flagler Beach) — Saturday @ 9 a.m.–noon
Free to watch. Rain bumped it from last weekend, and it’s now a morning race. Teams of two paddle homemade cardboard boats in Youth, Open, and Masters divisions, and somebody always sinks. That’s half the fun. Rough surf is in the forecast Saturday, so check the City of Flagler Beach before heading over.
🍪 Grab cookies and coffee for Community Cats in Bunnell — Community Cats of Palm Coast Thrift Store, 3100 E. Moody Blvd. (Bunnell) — Saturday @ 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Bird Dog Bakery Co and Toe Beans Coffee Bar team up, and 10% of food sales plus 100% of drink sales go to Community Cats of Palm Coast, a local nonprofit. September’s test run drew a great crowd, so it’s monthly now. Follow @birddogbakery.co.
🌽 Get lost at Maze Dayz in Bunnell — Cowart Ranch & Farms, 8185 W. Hwy 100 (Bunnell) — Saturday & Sunday @ 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
$15 a person, 2 and under free, $14 for seniors, military, and first responders with ID. A 5-acre walk-through corn maze, hayrides, pumpkin patch, sunflowers, farm animals, and a bonfire. No pets, and bring a flashlight if you go late. Weekends run through Nov 1.
🎃 Pick a pumpkin at the Pop-Up Pumpkin Patch at European Village — European Village (Palm Coast) — Saturday @ 4–8 p.m.
Local vendors, a DJ spinning Halloween hits, a free craft area, and free reusable trick-or-treat bags for the kids (while supplies last, kids must be there). RSVP on their Facebook event.
👻 Trunk-or-treat, then Hocus Pocus at Palm Coast Lanes — Palm Coast Lanes, 11 Old Kings Rd. (Palm Coast) — Saturday @ 5–9 p.m.
Back on after weather moved it last weekend. Decorated trunks handing out candy, a DJ, a bounce house, food trucks, prizes for the best trunk, and Hocus Pocus on the big screens. Bring the kids in costume.
